During my time at Almende, I played a leading role in a Eurostars-funded partnership between NiceDay and biosensor manufacturer Emteq, aimed at revolutionizing PTSD treatment. The project developed a digital mental health platform (PSYCH-AID) that integrates virtual reality (VR)-based Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy with real-time biofeedback and AI-driven analytics. I engaged directly with therapists to gather requirements, ensuring that the system effectively supports data-enriched remote therapy sessions, and collaborated with stakeholders across both companies to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and clinical mental health applications, improving accessibility and patient care outcomes.
